Perched, precariously on the edge of my nightstand,

The embodiment of limitless suffering and despair,

Red LED lights displaying to my horror…

6:55am

The disquieting terror of the piercing alarm,

Automated disruption of my pleasant torpor,

In five…

But this reality is beclouded by the siren’s call of slumber…

The inescapable destined hour,

7:00am.

Discharging decibels…

 Spark to flame igniting into rage!

Inflamed!

Seeking to quell the wrathful blaring,

My fist collides with the source of my fury!

I have 10 minutes respite...
